LUCKY SERMON stalked the leaders from inside, roused at the quarter pole, cut the corner into the stretch, drew alongside NEPHELE midstretch and overhauled that rival rival in deep stretch. NEPHELE pressed from inside then moved up on even terms, fought along the fence through the turn, disposed of A RYDER'S TRICK in upper stretch, tested by LUCKY SERMON midstretch and succumbed to the pressure late. SMILING RAPPER raced near the back in the early going, went two wide around the bend, swung out into the lane, rallied under left handed urging but could not reach the top pair. ROMAN BRONZE stalked off the rail, traveled three then two wide on the turn, shifted in past the eighth pole and lacked a bid. A RYDER'S TRICK broke in a bit to bother a rival then stepped to the front, showed the way under pressure then dueled outside a rival up the backstretch, fought in the two path through the turn, yielded in upper stretch, got floated in by ROMAN BRONZE midstretch and folded. THIRSTY NIC dropped back under coaxing early, took the turn four wide and was never a factor. ELEGANT BELLA pressed three deep deep in the early going, chased the leaders five wide on the turn and tired down the lane. SWEET RYDER got bothered by outer rival and steadied at the start, trailed up the backstretch, rounded the bend in the two path and failed to make an impact. TENACIOUS CANDY stalked from outside, went five wide into the turn, angled to the three path, tipped back out late on the bend and had little left for the stretch run.
