CHECK'S ON THE WAY got bumped from inside leaving the gate, chased from off the pace then moved into range up the backstretch, traveled two wide around the bend, moved out in the lane, drew alongside TARGARYIS outside the sixteenth pole and wore down the runner-up. TARGARYIS was closest in pursuit in the early going, bid two wide at the three-eighths pole, gained control then cleared inner rival at the quarter pole, drifted out in the lane while being confronted by CHECK'S ON THE WAY and could not fend off that rival in deep stretch. IT'S A FACTOR bumped outer rival leaving the gate, traveled in mid-pack up the backstretch, rounded the bend in the two path, steered out widest in the lane and came with a mild rally to earn the show. A VOTRE SANTE tracked from inside, saved ground through the turn, moved off the fence in the drive and finished evenly late. VALENTINES CANDY saved ground from off the pace, lacked room behind rivals and checked with a furlong remaining, altered out to a clear path and kept trying while failing to threaten. ESCAPE PLAN broke a step slow then lost a clear path early, trailed along the inside, angled out off the fence and failed to menace. MAXIMUS sped clear and crossed over, challenged by TARGARYIS at the three-eighths pole, lost command midway around the bend, yielded to the new leader at the quarter pole and gave way down the lane. TIGER STRENGTH broke a step slow, sat off the pace up the backstretch, went three wide into the turn, shifted in at the quarter pole and weakened down the lane.
