Footnotes
HAKUHIA moved up inside and grabbed lead past half-mile marker, dueled inside rival on the turn and into the stretch, re-grabbed lead passing furlong pole and kicked clear. CHEERING FOR LAYLA showed early foot, ceded lead top winner nearing the turn, fought back on the bend, dueled into the stretch, could not match winner past eighth marker and just held the place. MAMARANDO was void of early foot, raced ouitside COUNTLESS WISHES into the turn, came in slightly around the bend and whittled the gap on the runner-up late. OUR LOVIN FEELIN broke alertly then settled off the leaders, chased three or two wide, came back out bit leaving the turn, tipped out further in the lane and finihed willingly. COUNTLESS WISHES was slow into stride, chased from the inside, remained along the rail into and on the turn, came out some in upper stretch and weakened.
