HOTHEAD got away well albeit coming in just a hair, went straight to the front, set the pace from off the rail, edged clear of an inside foe passing the half, was asked at the top of the stretch and responded by extending the margin, held safe. CURLIN COMMAND was bumped at the break, settled about mid-pack two wide, angled five wide turning for home, gained place. GO GO PRANCER was forwardly-placed pressing inside in the very early going, continued to chase after the opening quarter now losing ground on the leader, was encouraged along soon after receiving stronger hand urging from the seven-sixteenths, was asked even more at the top of the stretch after saving some ground on the turn, ran on evenly in the stretch. BONNEVILLE JIM was between foes at the back early, raced a bit nearer to the leaders just off the fence through the turn and inside a rival, came out gradually through the stretch and kept on at an even pace to improve position. HORIZON WILDCAT stalked the eventual winner from outside going about three wide into and on the turn, flattened out in the lane. HARBOR CODE bumped a rival at the start, settled mid-pack outside, moved out from three to six wide into upper stretch, went evenly and made no bid. WILLISAU was outside a foe off the pace three wide into the turn, angled seven wide in upper stretch, was never near enough to threaten. MILLBO BAGGINS was strongly urged at the break, raced near mid-pack chasing just briefly along the inside, dropped back readily, was not a factor. CHASING RYTER was a little fractious in the gate then a bit rank early righting the rider along the inside at the back, moved out off the rail a little later, was not a factor.
