WINDS OF FREEDOM tucked in behind dueling leaders, content to stalk those foes into the turn, eased off the rail, moved up three bid, challenged in upper stretch while three abreast, asked for more in mid-stretch, moved to front under some hand pressure, led a sixteenth out and moved clear late. PANUCO came in bit and brushed rival in opening strides, pressured the pacesetter into the turn, inched closer outside leader around the turn, challenged between rivals in upper stretch, could not the winner in late stages but out gamed inside rival for the place. RUN FOR KIDDER was brushed by rival at the start, stepped to the front, set pace under pressure from the inside, resisted when challenged into the stretch, fought back past mid-stretch then was outfinished for second. WHISKEYINATEACUP was off step slow and dropped well back early, trailed while two or three wide into the stretch and was outrun throughout.
