LADY CLAYPOOLE (IRE) bided her time from along the rail for six furlongs, angled two then three wide leaving the backstretch, forced to swing four then five wide while looping inside rivals around last bend, forged to the front from the outside just outside eighth marker then powered away late to score convincingly. MRS. ASTOR unhurried while securing the rail early then saved ground to final turn, angled off the fence, encountered traffic on the last turn, shifted out four wide into the stretch, rallied strongly from the far outside and nailed rival for second in final strides. STARRY HEAVENS (IRE) was off slow, content to chase the pace while outside rival, roused passing three-eighths marker, challenged three then four wide into the stretch, gained brief lead in upper stretch, could not match the winner in the drive then was collared in final yards for the place. MAHINA chased from the inside early, remained along the rail to the final turn, came out then waited for room later on that bend, was three wide and blocked behind rivals in upper stretch, got free later and improved placing. KATHYNMARISSA gained striking position early and continued three wide and close up to final turn, moved up bit, took aim at quarter marker, briefly dueled outside STARRY HEAVENS into the stretch, poked her nose in front briefly in upper stretch, angled to the rail in the stretch and weakened in late stages. BIG HUG saved ground while prominent early, continued close up along the fence into and on the last turn, tipped out then weakened in the drive. OMAHA GIRL quickly assumed command, rated on uncontested lead into backstretch, retained cushion to the last turn, was swallowed later on that bend and gave way in the stretch. THE FIRST QUARTER MILE WAS HAND TIMED.
