ZIMBA WARRIOR content to chased rivals from off the rival into backstretch, continued three or four wide to far turn, roused then advanced quickly from outside, reeled in rivals around that bend, reached front at three-sixteenths markers and cleared. JOINT VENTURE stepped to the front early, relinquished control passing five-eights marker, angled off the fence later on the backstretch, regained control into second bend, was overtaken by winner into the stretch and was clearly second best. THIRTY FOUR COUPE broke in and bobbled slightly, unhurried from the inside, saved ground, was inside the winner on the second turn, came out slightly into the lane and weakened. NAUVOO stalked three wide to the backstretch, came in slightly, dropped back into and around the last turn and faded. DURAN forced the early issue outside foe, grabbed lead early on the backstretch, secured the rail, was overtaken by JOINT VENTURE pass half-mile marker, dropped back rapidly approaching the stretch, was eased in the lane, eventually crossed the finish line, bled and was transported off the track via equine ambulance.
