Footnotes
EXTENSIVE briefly dueled nearing first turn then content to take off the pace, tracked leader while slightly off the rail, moved up and applied pressure on final bend, gained upper hand passing quarter marker, shifted inward in upper stretch and powered away. SHOFNER settled off the pace, moved up some in middle stages along the rail, shifted three then four wide nearing and into the stretch, came back in some through the drive and collared rival late for second. NATION bumped with outside foe at the start, settled off the pace, stalked 3wide, moved up and loomed passing three-eights marker, continued three deep into the stretch, could not match the winner in the drive and lost the place late. NASSAU CIRCLE stepped to the front on the clubhouse turn, dictated the pace from the inside, edged away nearing far turn, had that cushion dissolve on the last bend, resisted into stretch, tipped off the rail and weakened. LET SEAMUS GO bumped leaving the gate, reserved while two wide, came out bit on the backstretch, angled back to inside nearing quarter marker then weakened in the stretch.
