GRAY FROST showed the way along the inside under pressure from MORNING ADDICTION, cleared that rival at the five-eighths pole and opened up, held a diminishing lead through the far turn, roused and asked right handed in upper stretch, switched to the left hand midstretch, went back to the right hand late and held the runner-up at bay. DORINE'S WILD CAT unhurried in the beginning, angled to the inside racing at the back, advanced up the backstretch, gained quickly and loomed up while a bit off the rail on the far turn, chased determinedly through the lane but could not summon the needed final kick. VULIN tracked three then two wide outside a rival, dropped out of range, got floated out at the half-mile pole, chased two wide then a bit off the rail into the lane and came up empty in the drive. HOLLYWOOD MISTRESS tracked two wide then found the rail on the first turn, angled out on the backstretch, went three then two wide around the far turn and was never a factor. MORNING ADDICTION pressed the pace from outside, went wrong past the nine-sixteenths pole and was backed out of the race, pulled up early on the far turn and was transported off the track via equine ambulance.
