BIG POP stumbled a bit leaving the gate, stalked from inside into the turn, launched a rail bid past the three-eighths pole, took over midway around the bend, fought inside NO CAP down the stretch and held gamely to the wire. NO CAP pressed three deep up the backstretch, chased four the three wide around the bend, challenged BIG POP entering the lane, battled into deep stretch but could not get by the winner. LADY MARYANN chased off the inside, went two wide into the turn, spun four wide into the lane and rallied to get up for third. DORIE MILLER trailed from inside into the turn, drew closer around the bend, put to left handed urging in the lane, could not summon the needed late kick and lost third at the wire. RAISING SILVER dueled for the lead from outside, vied three deep at the five-sixteenths pole, could not kick on with the new leader at the quarter pole, brushed with inner rival entering the stretch and weakened. ROUSING JEWEL dueled from inside, moved into the two path early on the turn, lost command at the five-sixteenths pole, chased the new leader late on the bend, brushed with RAISING SILVER turning for home and folded.
