MALTESE FALCON (IRE) stalked the pacesetter from the fence, launched a bid between horses with a quarter mile remaining, took the lead at the eighth pole, led into deep stretch and lasted over a pair of rivals in the closing moments. ZALAMO (FR) tracked from inside, pulled early on the backstretch, saved ground to the stretch, rallied between rivals in deep stretch and missed. COALINGA ROAD steadied a bit behind a rival after crossing back onto the grass early, settled in the two path, moved into range on the far turn, moved out in the drive, came with a late bid four deep but was not enough. EL REY REY stepped to the front racing keenly in hand, controlled the pace to the five-sixteenths pole, challenged by a trio of competitors with a quarter mile remaining, dueled with the winner in upper stretch, lost command a furlong out, stayed on well from the fence but was outfinished for the place and show. NITTI (IRE) moved inside trailing the field, got put in tight and hit the rail first time in upper stretch, went between horses at the half-mile pole, traveled in the two path then angled to the fence late on the far turn, summoned a mild rally but needed to find more. INVIGORATED stalked in the two path, bid three deep at the quarter pole, failed to sustain the challenge in upper stretch and lacked late response. NONE ABOVE THE LAW raced in range two wide, bid four deep on the far turn but was no match down the lane. BLAMETHEGOODTIMES bobbled in tight leaving the turn then began to pull between rivals, saved ground on the fence through both turns, tipped out at the top of the stretch and failed to respond. ESCAPE ARTIST raced outside a rival towards the back, three deep on the backstretch, chased three then two wide on the far turn and failed to menace.
