SUPERMAX off slow to begin, lagged behind to the far turn, was on the move around the bend while angling out and came widest into the stretch, closed in fast, reeled in the leader at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. BOWTIE BOYS stalked four then three wide around the first turn, vied three deep past the half-mile pole, dueled past the five-sixteenths marker, kicked clear in upper stretch but got run down while coming out at the sixteenth pole and yielded to the winner. BATTLE CRUISER chased from off the pace four then three wide on the first turn, asked four wide on the second turn, chased within striking distance into the final furlong but finished evenly late. CUPID'S CRUSADER settled along the rail then moved into the two path on the clubhouse turn, moved into range along the fence on the far turn, tipped out approaching the stretch, took aim in upper stretch but flattened in the late stages. PETESOLDFASHIONED stalked the speed in the two path, angled out on the far turn, spun five wide into the lane and never threatened. BIG BET stalked along the fence to the far turn, eased out to the four path on the far turn and lacked further response. TIGER STRENGTH set the pace under pressure along the inside, vied with a pair of rivals past the half-mile pole, dueled midway around the far turn, yielded in upper stretch and folded. SIR MAXIMUS prompted the pace from outside, vied between rivals at the halfway mark, lost touch at the five-sixteenths pole and weakened. SWIFT STEPHAN stumbled leaving the gate, tracked in the three path to the far turn, dropped back and chased five wide turning for home and had little left for the stretch run.
