Footnotes
LITTLEBROTHERJOEY showed speed along the inside, pressed the leader then chased up the backstretch, regained the advantage three furlongs out and spurted away on the far turn, put to right handed urging late on the bend, switched to the left hand in upper stretch, led clear into the final sixteenth but could sense DAZZLE THE COMMAND bearing down, dug in late and was able to hold on to win a narrow photo. DAZZLE THE COMMAND chased two wide into the first turn, eased out to the five path around the bend, moved up close three deep on the backstretch, chased three wide around the far turn, was closest in pursuit down the lane, dug in late and missed. UPDRAFT contested the pace from outside, inched clear on the backstretch, relinquished the lead at the three-eighths pole, yielded at the five-sixteenths pole and churned on down the lane to retain third. LIBERTY WOLF stalked along the inside then moved into the two path, coaxed along up the backstretch, dropped back on the far turn, chased between rivals in upper stretch and improved position. BEAU BRUME showed early speed outside a pair of rivals four wide into the first turn, stalked up the backstretch, navigated the far turn in the two path and weakened. ACERO unhurried in the beginning, went four then five wide around the first turn, was ridden along still wide on the second bend and failed to menace. IN WITHOUT KNOCKIN reared up in the gate, traveled in the three path early, chased two then three wide on the far turn and was never a factor.
