Footnotes
MEMORY showed early quickness and moved inside, stalked the leader into the backstretch, bid between with a quarter mile remaining, put a head in front in upper stretch and maintained command over SILENT WAY in the last sixteenth. SILENT WAY pursued two then three wide on the first turn, asked in the two path on the far turn, challenged three deep at the quarter pole, fought outside MEMORY through the lane but came up short in the end. AUTHENTIC PATRIOT showed speed in the two path then cleared MEMORY and moved inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, challenged by a pair of rivals at the quarter pole, lost the lead in upper stretch, fought to the sixteenth pole and yielded late. ZIHNAL chased in the three path, moved closer outside rivals on the backstretch, spun four wide into the lane and weakened. PLAGARIST stalked next to the rail then moved into the two path on the clubhouse turn, remained two wide around the far turn and lacked the needed response. CATCH THE MAX coaxed along at the back into the first turn, lagged behind to the stretch and never got involved.
