NESSO'S LASTHARRAH was closest in pursuit early, pressured VIRAT from outside on the turn, dueled through the lane and dug in the last sixteenth to best the runner-up. VIRAT established the front quickly, met the bid from NESSO'S LASTHARRAH on the turn, resisted to midstretch, then got outkicked in the final sixteenth. SON OF A BIRCH reserved three deep between rivals, moved into the two path around the bend, put in mild late bid and earned the show honors. BALLADEER stalked the top pair three wide into the turn, came four wide into the stretch, finished willingly to earn a minor award but lacked the needed late punch. WAR AT SEA raced inside a trio of rivals at the back then got shuffled a bit behind CHARLIE'S TO BLAME into the turn, eased over to the three path and passed a rival around the bend, summoned a mild rally but needed to find more to be a threat. DHITJARI (GB) unhurried in the early going, raced between foes into the turn, found the rail around the bend, steered off the fence in the drive and never responded to urging. DROP UM chased the speed from inside down the hill and weakened in the stretch run. AMERICAN HOPE chased four deep out of range into the turn, drifted eighth wide crossing the dirt and weakened. CHARLIE'S TO BLAME settled inside, trailed with a quarter mile remaining and could not make an impact down the lane.
