Footnotes
ROSELEE MAY was well-placed early just off and outside the leader stalking two to three deep, was given some hand-encouragement past the five-sixteenths and thoroughly asked for more past the quarter pole, struck the lead in upper stretch, moved clear in mid-stretch and held sway without much asking the final sixteenth. IMA JOKER gained forward position early shifting in to the two to three path tracking the leading pair in behind, fought the rider's restraint while keen to go on despite being well-held in behind, settled down eventually for the run to the far turn, shifted five wide for the drive, closed well but was only second best. ANNIE'S JOY got away alertly, set the pace inside, was asked for more when challenged at the top of the stretch, weakened some but just saved show honors. SHE'S SPLENDID broke just a step slowly and a touch awkwardly, settled off the rail in the two the three path and well back of the leaders, came out five wide at the top of the stretch, ran on and just missed show. ADELIE (IRE) tucked in and settled at the back racing on or just off the rail, saved ground, improved. VINCERO GRANDE was outside three to four wide at the rear in the early going, moved in a bit outside a foe two to three deep through the far turn, finished evenly between runners late. MS MCWHINNEY chased from inside mid-pack, came off the fence turning into upper stretch, weakened. SPEED LANE broke just a step slowly and awkwardly but was forwardly-placed in pursuit of the leaders from outside three to four wide early, continued in range on the far turn asked for more midway on that bend and racing four to five deep but faded thereafter.
