Footnotes
TENMA stalked in the two path around the clubhouse turn, traveled four deep up the backstretch, asked three deep on the far turn, dueled outside SILENT LAW leaving that bend, took over in upper stretch and inched ahead under left handed urging, then drove clear under right handed urging and strong handling in deep stretch. SILENT LAW dueled from inside, cleared past the five-eighths pole, took pressure at the half-mile pole, maintained a short advantage over a pair of rivals through the far turn, relinquished the lead at the top of the lane, fought on to the sixteenth pole under left handed urging, then yielded to the winner while proving second best. VODKA WITH A TWIST broke a step slow, had to steady behind SILENT LAW early on the clubhouse turn, applied pressure to that rival at the half-mile pole, fought between rivals at the quarter pole, could not keep up with the top pair entering the stretch, flattened in the final furlong but finished a clear third. MADAME SECRETARY chased three deep around the first turn, traveled five deep up the backstretch, lost ground three to four wide on the second bend under urging and had little left for the drive. NO BAD BEATS bobbled leaving the gate, went up to duel from outside, could not keep up with SILENT LAW past the five-eighths pole, chased three deep then angled to the rail for the far turn, tired around the bend, eased in the lane and walked off.
