Footnotes
RICHI (CHI) took control along the inside, pressured by FAYETTE FOX leaving the clubhouse turn, held a short lead inside a trio of rivals leaving the backstretch, kicked clear around the far turn, roused in upper stretch and padded the lead in the final furlong under hand urging. SPLENDORA raced up close in the two path, bid between rivals at the half-mile pole, could not sustain the challenge and chased after RICHI (CHI) in the two path through the far turn, stayed within striking distance into the final furlong but could not make any headway on the winner late. ULTIMATE AUTHORITY stalked widest through the clubhouse turn, bid four deep at the half-mile pole, lost ground in the three path on the second bend and weakened in the drive. FAYETTE FOX raced up close in the three path then applied pressure to RICHI (CHI) approaching the backstretch, vied between rivals past the half-mile pole, dropped back three to four wide on the second bend and tired down the lane. LISA'S NONNO came away to an awkward beginning, tucked inside at the back then moved into the two path, trailed to the stretch and never got involved.
