ANNAN settled along the rail off the pace, gained inside to two wide on the far turn, angled out into the lane, surged clear and won handily going away. WINNING PATRIOT bumped between rivals early, stalked in the two path, went three deep into the far turn, challenged outside a pair of rivals around the bend, took over approaching the drive, shifted out in upper stretch, yielded at the eighth pole and stayed on to hold second. SOGNO DI VINO bumped between rivals early, settled in the two path, coaxed forward between rivals on the backstretch, went two then three wide around the far turn, bid in upper stretch but got floated out by WINNING PATRIOT, could not kick on with ANNA into the final furlong, flattened in the late stages but was able to secure third. JUST A GRAZE bumped early, stalked along the inside, came under a ride on the far turn, ran into traffic leaving the bend, got stuck behind rivals again in upper stretch, split rivals and churned on for a minor award. FIGHT BACK raced in the two path at the back, crept closer in the middle stages, got crowded along the rail past the five-sixteenths pole, got caught in traffic from upper to midstretch and kept on trying after. GIANT LUTHER raced in the two path then found the rail towards the back, went two wide into the far turn, moved out in the lane and passed tired rivals. MILLBO BAGGINS pulled early while exchanging bumps with inner rival, angled in for the first turn, moved to the two path then came back to the inside, drew closer leaving the backstretch, tipped three wide on the far turn, got floated out a bit into the lane and flattened out. HARBOR CODE grabbed the early lead and steered across to the inside, took pressure at the three-eighths pole, lost command entering the lane, yielded in upper stretch and gave way. ZAGREUS showed early speed from inside then stalked in hand, bid between rivals at the three-eighths pole, lost touch with the leader approaching the stretch and faded down the lane. SHAPOVAL got pinballed prior to the first turn, tracked three deep out of range, stayed off the inside up the backstretch, came four wide into the lane and had little left for the drive. JOHNNY WHISPERS raced along the inside near the back, lagged behind on the backstretch and far turn and never got involved.
