Footnotes
HELICITY tracked two wide into the turn, tipped three then four wide around the turn, challenged five deep in upper stretch, fought three deep into the final sixteenth and dug in to edge the runner-up. A DAY TO REMEMBER got bumped on both sides at the start, pressed the pace from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, put a head in front in upper stretch, carried the lead into deep stretch and got outgamed by the winner. CALL ME CORY got bumped and had his path taken leaving the gate, stalked from inside through the early stages, launched a bid from the fence in upper stretch, fought inside a pair of rivals into the last sixteenth and got outkicked. SMILING TIZZY broke in and bumped HAMLIN, raced in range outside a rival, took three wide leaving the turn, put in a mild bid in upper stretch but flattened in the late stages. METRO coaxed along early near the back, took the turn two wide, moved out in the lane and failed to threaten. WAR TO REMEMBER broke out and bumped CALL ME CORY, set the pace from inside under pressure, maintained command through the turn, headed at the three-sixteenths pole, lost command shortly after, yielded past the eighth pole and weakened. HAMLIN got bumped on both sides and squeezed at the start, saved ground through the turn and was never a factor. POWER PLAY trailed early then raced inside a rival leaving the backstretch, tipped two wide on the turn and could not make an impact. WAR THEORY broke a step slow, raced greenly when reserved in the early stages, navigated the turn two then three wide and never got involved.
