Footnotes
JERRY'S SPIRIT stalked from outside, bid three deep on the turn, cleared inner pair past the quarter pole, led under right handed urging down the lane and drew away from the runner-up late. SUPERNAL chased off the inside, took aim from the four path leaving the bend, loomed in upper stretch but flattened late. GYPSY TEARS chased between rivals well off the rail, angled from the five path to the three path on the turn, kept trying down the lane and was able to edge WHERE'S THE LOOT for third. WHERE'S THE LOOT settled widest up the backstretch, chased six then five wide on the turn, lacked the needed late response and lost the show honors late. DES DOIGTS sent to the front and steered into the two path once clear of inner rivals, challenged from both sides on the turn and relinquished the lead to DEVIL MOON past the three-eighths pole, could not keep up with the new leader with a quarter mile left to run and weakened down the lane. DEVIL MOON raced up close in the early going, challenged from inside at the seven-sixteenths pole, put a head in front past the three-eighths marker, was overtaken by the winner not too long after that, chased that rival into the stretch and weakened. TOOK CHARGE was off slow to begin, trailed on the inside not too far back, drew closer around the bend, lacked room behind DEVIL MOON in upper stretch, angled out into the clear and had little left for the furlong grounds.
