CORPORAL VIOLETTE (IRE) stalked in the two path, ridden along two then three wide on the far turn, drew alongside PORT ELLEN (IRE) in upper stretch, seized control inside the eighth pole and drove clear. PORT ELLEN (IRE) showed early speed and followed closely to the outside of the leader in the opening stages, challenged around the far turn, took over past the quarter pole, dueled with CORPORAL VIOLETTE (IRE) into the final furlong, relinquished the lead midstretch and yielded to that rival in deep stretch. ANNIE'S JOY settled next to the fence, remained inside to the far turn, tipped two wide at the quarter pole, lacked room behind the leaders in upper stretch, gained a clear path was able to hold third. IDESSIA trailed two wide early, went outside a pair of rivals on the backstretch, came four wide into the lane and missed third. FREE AND HUMBLE unhurried in the beginning and was placed along the inside, crept closer while continuing to save ground on the far turn, cut the corner into the lane, lacked room and had to alter course in upper stretch and could not rally after the trouble. QUARIA THUNDER sat off the pace in the two path or outside a rival, continued two wide through the far turn and flattened in the drive. MONTJICA (FR) showed the way early from inside, controlled the pace up the backstretch, challenged by outer rival on the far turn, lost command past the quarter pole, yielded in upper stretch and faded to last.
