LOVESICK BLUES pressed BRAN (FR) from outside up the backstretch, dueled into the stretch, battled under left then right handed urging and dug in to best the runner-up. BRAN (FR) grabbed the early lead and set the pace under pressure from LOVESICK BLUES to the outside, maintained a short lead around the bend, resisted into the final sixteenth and yielded grudgingly late. AIR FORCE RED stalked the top pair off the inside, chased two then three wide around the bend, finished gamely from outside but could not summon the needed final kick. FINAL BOSS chased the leading duo from inside to the stretch and finished evenly through the final furlong.
