DONTTELLOURWIVES sat off the pace, went three deep into the turn, quickly moved out to the four path, bid four deep entering the lane, drifted in while dueling with A FRIEND OF MINE in the final furlong and gamely prevailed. A FRIEND OF MINE unhurried in the opening stages, made progress from the fence around the turn, challenged along the inside at the top of the lane, battled DONTTELLOURWIVES in the final furlong and just missed. GUITAR GIRL tracked off the rail, ran into traffic briefly behind NIKOLINA at the seven-sixteenths pole, went between rivals then chased two wide into the lane, followed within striking distance into the final furlong and lacked the needed late punch. MOONLIT COURAGE away quickly then was overtaken by EAST BOCA KIBBUTZ early, chased along the inside into the turn, tipped three wide around the bend, loomed in the three path coming into the lane, bid between rivals in upper stretch but flattened out in the late stages. INSOLENTA lost her path and checked early, went two wide into the turn, angled out late on the bend and failed to rally. EAST BOCA KIBBUTZ was off slow to begin, rushed up and sprinted clear from outside, angled entering the turn, challenged from both sides entering the stretch, yielded shortly after and weakened. NIKOLINA broke well, stalked the speed outside a rival, started to weaken two then three wide on the turn, tired and eased in the lane and walked off. PERFECT SMILE broke in, corrected briefly before lugging in and jumping into the temporary rail unseating the rider, was caught following the race and walked off. THE STEWARDS REVIEWED THE INCIDENT WITH PERFECT SMILE EARLY IN THE RACE AND RULED SHE CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS AND NO CHANGE WOULD BE MADE.
