COMEBACK GIRL showed the way under some mild pressure from COOEY early, inched away from the at rival on the turn, drew away when asked left handed inside the eighth pole and was kept busy to the wire. CURRENT AFFAIR raced keenly in hand off the pace then drew closer between rivals up the backstretch, had to wait while boxed in between rivals on the turn, tipped and bumped INTO THE HALL in upper stretch, could not threaten the winner late but finished willingly to best the rest. HEADS IN BEDS (FR) broke out and bumped, settled inside, angled out leaving the bend, moved out further in the lane and got up for third. COOEY pressed from outside early, chased the winner two wide around the bend, drifted in a bit in the lane and weakened. INTO THE HALL stalked the pacesetter from off the rail, took the turn three wide, got bumped by CURRENT AFFAIR in upper stretch and flattened. ROBIN WITH A WHY got bumped from inside leaving the gate, stalked along the rail into the turn, cornered nicely into the lane and lacked the needed response. PRISTINE had one rival beat racing along the rail into the turn, remained on the fence to the stretch and was never a factor. SWEET GEM followed in range off the rail to the turn, rounded the bend in the three path and faded. RECKLESS OPTIMISM hit the gate and came away slow on the outside, trailed two wide into the turn, found the rail late on the bend and never got involved.
