Footnotes
PETESOLDFASHIONED chased under coaxing along the inside, followed closely behind VALENTINES CANDY into the far turn, tipped two wide midway around the turn, tried to bid between the top pair late on the bend but had the hole close entering the lane, steered to the outside at the top of the stretch, drew alongside MIGHTY KAI with a furlong remaining and drove clear late. MIGHTY KAI tracked from inside then moved into the two path on the first turn, bid three wide around the far turn, dueled two wide into the lane, took over in upper stretch, lost command to the winner midstretch and stayed on for a clear second. RESEMBLANCE raced in range four then three wide on the first turn, coaxed along four deep up the backstretch, remained widest to the stretch and was along for third. VALENTINES CANDY sprinted to the front in the two path then found the rail quickly, dueled with BIG JUANITO late on the first turn and up the backstretch, put that rivals away midway around the far turn but was quickly challenged by MIGHTY KAI, relinquished the lead at the top of the lane and weakened in the furlong grounds. LOOKS RARE stalked three then two wide early, between foes into the far turn, got blocked behind BIG JUANITO between the three-eighths and five-sixteenths markers, tipped three wide into the clear but flattened in the drive. BIG JUANITO chased five wide outside rivals into the first turn, moved up to duel for command around the bend while cutting in a few paths, fought head to head to the far turn, weakened around that bend, eased in the lane and walked off.
