Footnotes
BRONKO NAGURSKI showed early speed between rivals, ceded to the leaders and took a stalking position outside a rival, moved inside for the turn, cut the corner into the lane, rallied from the fence to take over in midstretch and won going away. HOWBEIT pressed from outside, chased two then three wide on the turn, re-bid past the quarter pole, took over with a furlong remaining but got outkicked by the winner in the late stages. GRAZEN SUN showed the way under pressure from outer rival early, led two wide into the turn, found the rail quickly, while clearing, pressured again by HOWBEIT past the quarter pole, lost command at the eighth pole and flattened to third. QUALITY CAT lost his blinkers at the five-eighths pole, chased on the inside into the turn, drifted to the five path around the bend and churned on for a minor award. CLEMENTS RIDE raced inside a rival at the back, saved ground and had two rivals beat entering the lane but failed to be a factor in the stretch run. LOVE CANDY coaxed from the gate, raced outside a rival at the back of the pack early on, took the turn two wide, tipped three wide into the lane and could not make an impact. RED ON SUNDAY raced up close early, went three deep into the turn, dropped back three to four wide and came up empty in the stretch.
