CELA HALL forwardly placed in the early going, coaxed along early on the turn, had to wait behind the leader around the bend, went through a tight spot while bumping with PONYTAIL PETE at the top of the lane, challenged TROPICAL RAIN DAY from inside and got up in the closing moments. TROPICAL RAIN DAY broke well then took a stalking position behind the leader, angled to the inside, was on the move while being guided out to the three path on the turn, bid from outside turning for home, grabbed the lead in upper stretch, came under threat from CELA HALL past the eighth pole, fought through deep stretch and yielded grudgingly. EMPRESS OF GRACE brushed leaving the gate, chased from off the pace and moved inside, tipped three wide around the turn, rallied under left handed urging but lacked the needed late punch. PRIZECONQUEST lagged behind early, trailed two wide around the bend, moved out in the lane and passed tired rivals. ROSIE ANN RULES brushed inner rival in the beginning, laid off the pace outside a rival, went two wide into the turn, angled out and came four wide into the stretch but lacked further response. PONYTAIL PETE set the pace under pressure from outer rival, inched clear on the turn, was challenged by the winner coming into the lane, got bumped while being overtaken at the top of the stretch and folded. BUTTERFLY BEACH tracked three deep early, got floated five wide late on the bend and failed to respond. SAV'S THIRSTY STAR prompted the pace from outside, chased two wide midway around the turn and tired.
