FINAL BOSS sprinted clear from inside, took pressure from GENIUS JIMMY past the five-sixteenths pole, lost command at the eighth pole, regained the lead at the sixteenth pole, drifted and bumped GENIUS JIMMY at the wire and prevailed. GENIUS JIMMY was closest in pursuit in the two path early on, bid two wide past the five-sixteenths pole, took over with a furlong remaining, lost command at the sixteenth pole, battled through deep stretch, took a bump near the wire and just missed. SPYCATCHER stalked three deep, followed in range down the stretch and edged SARWAR (FR) for third. SARWAR (FR) stalked between rivals from the two path through both turns, finished evenly down the lane and got edged for the show honors. MONDEGO (GB) reserved in the early going and moved into the two path, saved ground inside a rival on the far turn, angled out into the lane, split rivals midstretch, tipped out in the final sixteenth and improved position. DICEY MO CHARA (GB) stalked the pace from inside, saved ground through the far turn as well and weakened in the drive. AMERICAN ADMIRAL was off slow to begin, saved ground from off the pace, moved out in the lane and failed to menace. GOLD FOOT traveled three deep toward the rear in the early going, chased four then three wide on the second bend, moved out in the drive and lacked further response. EL ENCINAL (ARG) pulled in the early going from the two path, fell back to last on the far turn and came up empty. THE RIDER ABOARD GENIUS JIMMY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST THE RIDER OF FINAL BOSS FOR ALLEGED INTERFERENCE LATE IN THE RACE. THERE WAS ALSO A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING THE SAME INCIDENT. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS UNANIMOULY RULED THAT ALTHOUGH FINAL BOSS DID DRIFT INTO GENIUS JIMMY NEAR THE WIRE, THE INCIDENT DID NOT WARRANT A DISQUALIFICATION.
