Footnotes
PACIFIC QUEST broke out, attended the pace outside a pair of rivals in hand, moved up on even terms on the second bend, kicked clear past the quarter pole and held safely under urging. CRAZY CAVALIER settled inside, trailed up the backstretch, passed a couple rivals in the two path on the far turn, angled to the inside at the eighth pole, moved back out to split rivals in deep stretch and got up for second in the final moments. TAPIT DYNASTY got moved out a bit by inner rival at the start, trailed along the inside into the first turn then moved to the two path around the bend, passed a rival in the middle stages, drew closer two then three wide on the far turn, finished determinedly in the drive but got edged for the place honors. HAMLIN dueled for the lead from inside, vied with a pair of rivals on the far turn, could not go on with PACIFIC QUEST late on the bend, kept trying down the lane but got outfinished for the place and show. TRAVAIL dueled for lead outside HAMLIN, fought between runners on the far turn, also yielded to the winner past the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. SKYQUIST brushed with CANO FOR THE WIN leaving the gate, stalked along the inside, dropped back on the far turn and had little left for the stretch run. SMILING CAPOTE stalked from the two path in the opening stages, coaxed along into the far turn and found the rail, saved ground to the stretch and faded. CANO FOR THE WIN brushed with inner rival at the start, settled two then three wide in the early going, traveled in range three deep on the backstretch, remained three wide to the stretch and tired.
