Footnotes
DESERT GATE pressed the pace from outside, battled two wide around the bend, took over when asked right handed at the top of the lane and inched away from the runner-up under strong handling. ACKNOWLEDGEMEPLZ away quickest to take the front, showed the way off the rail under pressure from DESERT GATE to the outside, maintained command under sustained pressure through the turn, lost command in upper stretch, fought back to midstretch, could not go on with DESERT GATE in the last sixteenth but was clearly second best. PROLETARIAT took some light contact from JETWAY leaving the gate, stalked the leading pair from inside to the turn, lost ground while moving off the fence around the bend, spun three wide into the lane and weakened. JETWAY brushed PROLETARIAT in the beginning, chased the top pair four wide into the turn, moved into the three path and started to weaken around the bend, raced four wide again turning for home, tired down the lane but was coaxed along to the wire.
