MINING DISTRICT set the pace early under pressure then dueled inside RUNKERRY up the backstretch, maintained a slim lead through the bend, shook free from outer pair in upper stretch and was kept to task to the line. THE G M showed early speed between rivals then ceded command and took a stalking position outside a rival, bid three deep past the quarter pole, got floated out in upper stretch and stayed on to prove second best. RUNKERRY stalked briefly then went up to duel from command on the outside, fought head to head around the bend, drifted out a bit in upper stretch and weakened. WINDRIBBON lifted up a bit leaving the gate but only broke a hair slow, chased two wide into the turn, spun four wide into the lane and weakened. DISOBEY stalked the pace from inside, hugged the rail through the turn and faded.
