NEWPORT DREAMZ stalked outside a rival, patiently handled in the two path on the turn, angled out into the lane, rallied from outside and dug in to edge GODAVRI late. GODAVRI was forwardly placed outside the top pair up the backstretch, challenged three deep around the bend, inched ahead in upper stretch, carried a short lead into the last sixteenth and was bested by the winner. TURKEY BIRD broke a step slow, chased from inside, asked left-handed into the turn, continued on the inside around the bend, steered out in the lane and got up for third. DIXIE'S DELIGHT pressed from outside, headed the leader with three furlongs remaining, vied between rivals late on the bend, fought to the sixteenth pole and weakened late. WEST FRESNO set the pace under pressure on the inside, fought with outer pair at the quarter pole, lost command at the top of the stretch, fought on to deep stretch, then weakened late. BIG A'S LITTLE ONE sat off the pace, went three deep into the turn, tipped out into the lane and weakened. DRAMATICATTRACTION broke a step slow, chased from inside out of range, moved into the two path past the five-sixteenths pole and lacked further response. JENNYS WINE GIRL broke a step slow, climbed at the back then went between rivals approaching the turn, got crowded nearing the quarter pole, angled in and failed to threaten.
