Footnotes
COME OUT FIGHTING stalked from inside, rushed up to take over midway up the backstretch, met the challenge from MYSTIC FLYER on the far turn, put that rival away while being confronted by AUSTONIAN in upper stretch, battled head to head down the lane and gamely prevailed. AUSTONIAN bobbled leaving the gate, chased in the two path in hand, moved inside for the far turn, angled out past the five-sixteenths pole, bid three wide into the lane, battled COME OUT FIGHTING down the stretch and got denied. MYSTIC FLYER dueled from inside to the backstretch, stalked the new leader past the half-mile pole, re-engaged from outside on the far turn, could not kick on with the top pair in upper stretch and was able to hold third. UPSTART YANKEE tracked three wide early, between foes into the second bend, spun four wide into the lane and failed to threaten. MAJESTIC PALISADES forwardly placed three deep around the clubhouse turn, four deep up the backstretch, continued in the four path on the far turn and had little left for the stretch run. SAQEEL tracked four wide early, five deep on the far turn and weakened down the lane. SUNSET STORM dueled from outside, stalked the winner past the half-mile pole, asked three then four wide on the far turn and weakened. BIG SPIN broke a step slow, tucked inside at the back, came under a ride still with a lot of work left to do on the far turn and was never a factor.
