REEF RUNNER broke well then settled on the inside at the back, trailed next to the rail then two wide at the quarter pole, came three wide into the stretch, closed in and took aim at YELLOW CARD with a furlong remaining, drew alongside that rival in deep stretch and dug in to edge the runner-up. YELLOW CARD stalked the speed in-hand and moved inside, bid between rivals past the quarter pole, seized command outside the eighth pole, put MUCHO DEL ORO away then came under threat from REEF RUNNER, resisted through the final sixteenth but yielded grudgingly in the end. SORRENTO SKY (IRE) tracked two wide between runners into the turn, exited the dirt crossing in the four path, tipped out further at the top of the lane and gained third. MUCHO DEL ORO sprinted clear early, led along the inside around the bend, took pressure from outer rivals past the quarter pole, relinquished the lead in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. NESSO'S LASTHARRAH settled along the inside, drew closer around the turn, chased two wide into the lane and flattened out. BEYOND BRILLIANT stalked the pacesetter outside a rival, bid three deep past the quarter pole, fought four wide turning for home, then weakened in the furlong grounds. FIRST PEACE reserved in the early going, traveled three deep between runners into the turn, gained while easing out to the five path around the bend, then flattened out in the stretch run. KALE'S ANGEL tracked four deep into the turn, trailed six wide into the lane and had little left for the drive.
