Footnotes
NEVADA BEACH settled two wide off the pace then quickly moved up from outside to apply pressure to FULL SERRANO (ARG) into the backstretch, dueled with that rival around the far turn and into the lane, inched ahead entering the final furlong and edged clear from the runner-up late. FULL SERRANO (ARG) led outside PRIVMAN into the first turn, cleared that rival and crossed to the inside, showed the way under pressure from NEVADA BEACH up the backstretch, headed by that rival on the far turn, dueled into the stretch, lost command outside the eighth pole, fought on into deep stretch and proved second best. PRIVMAN showed early speed inside FULL SERRANO (ARG) then took a stalking position along the rail on the first turn, followed the top pair next to the fence through the far turn, tipped out into the stretch, lacked the needed response to threaten late but kept on to secure the show honors. FIRST MISSION tracked the leaders from inside, urged along while continuing to save ground through the far turn, steered out at the three-sixteenths pole, could not summon the needed rally but was able to earn a minor award. ULTIMATE GAMBLE settled on the inside then moved off the fence late on the first turn, dropped back in the three path on the far turn and passed a tired rival in the lane. EXPRESS TRAIN raced outside ULTIMATE GAMBLE at the back into the clubhouse turn, moved into range around the bend, chased two then three wide on the far turn and faded in the stretch run.
