MAV MAN tracked two wide then found the rail on the clubhouse turn, crept closer leaving the backstretch, cut the corner into the lane, angled out and launched a bid three deep between rivals into the final furlong, put a head in front at the sixteenth pole and held gamely over KISS FOR LULU in the final moments. KISS FOR LULU traveled in mid-pack on the inside, went two wide into the far turn, gained while easing out to the four path around that bend, challenged four deep at the eighth pole, fought outside MAV MAN in deep stretch and failed to get by. IRISH ELEMENT laid off the pace on the inside, drew closer on the far turn but ran into brief traffic behind MAV MAN past the quarter pole, continued on the inside, rallied up the fence and got up for third. ZAGREUS stepped to the front and moved inside, met the bid from outer rival entering the far turn, dueled around the bend, resisted into deep stretch, then yielded grudgingly late. FIGHT BACK trailed on the inside around the first turn, raced near the back up the backstretch, shifted to the two path at the quarter pole, summoned a mild rally in the lane but could not threaten for the major awards. BRAHMS MENDELSSOHN was closest in pursuit from the two path, drew alongside the leader exiting the backstretch, dueled around the far turn, fought between rivals past the eighth pole, then weakened in the last sixteenth. BENNY'S PUZZLE moved to the two path racing near the back of the field, trailed outside a rival on the backstretch, had one beat while angling four wide around the far turn and proved no menace. STAR OF DELHI stalked the pacesetter next to the fence, chased two wide into the lane and weakened. FLEET BROTATO settled in the two path, raced inside a rival at the back in the middle stages, saved ground through the far turn and failed to make an impact. CRIME LORD stalked the speed outside a rival in the two path, spun three wide into the lane and faded out of contention. FOREROYAL stumbled leaving the gate, angled to the inside racing towards the rear, moved off the rail on the backstretch, rounded the final turn two then three wide and had little left for the stretch run.
