SLICK (IRE) showed early speed between rivals then ceded command and took a stalking position in the two path, continued two wide through the far turn, tipped four wide into the lane, challenged outside rivals with a furlong remaining, dueled with EDGE OF MALI (IRE) in deep stretch and edged the runner-up under left-handed urging. EDGE OF MALI (IRE) vied from inside into the first turn then allowed the leaders to go on, coaxed along still saving ground on the fence around the far turn, tipped out into the stretch, struck the front outside the eighth pole, fought with SLICK (IRE) in the last sixteenth and was bested. RESOLVE broke out and bumped, settled between rivals in the two path, spun three wide off the far turn, angled out in upper stretch, finished well and gained the show honors. CAT THE CONFIDANTE (IRE) settled early along the inside, remained on the fence around the far turn, chased two wide leaving that bend, altered out with a furlong left to run and finished evenly late. HEY LIL LADY unhurried in the beginning, traveled three deep around both turns, swung six wide into the lane and summoned a mild response to improve placings. LILA tucked inside at the back of the pack, went outside a rival in the middle stages, continued two wide on the second bend, steered four wide into the lane, ran into traffic in upper stretch, angled inward, then showed late effort between runners while in a bit tight late. HEY JESSIE went two wide then along the rail while located towards the rear on the first turn, ran up on heels and checked twice from the three-eighths to the five-sixteenths marker, stayed next to the fence to the stretch, ran into traffic in the lane and kept on once in the clear. MISS ARTOIS vied three deep for a bit then outside a rival on the first turn, stalked that rival into the backstretch, chased two wide through the far turn, moved out and bid in upper stretch but flattened in the late stages. ATIA broke in and bumped, vied between briefly then dueled inside a rival before clearing on the clubhouse turn, set all the pace to the stretch, lost command when confronted in upper stretch, got bumped from behind past the eighth pole and weakened in the late stages. RIBBONS got knocked into outer rival at the start, tracked four then three wide on the clubhouse turn, raced in mid-pack up the backstretch, roused three deep on the far turn, came five wide into the stretch and flattened out. TAKE A BREATH (GB) took a bump at the start, taken to the inside and settle in-hand near the back, moved into range leaving the far turn still on the fence, ran up on the heels of ATIA and checked while bumping that rival near the eighth pole, then was not persevered with after the trouble. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING TAKE A BREATH (GB) AND ATIA IN THE STRETCH AND RULED THAT TAKE A BREATH (GB) CAUSED HER OWN PROBLEMS BY RUNNING UP ONTO THE HEELS OF ATIA AND THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
