Footnotes
PRACTICAL JACK broke out and bumped, set the pace under pressure, edged clear around the turn, opened up under hand urging in upper stretch and padded the lead under light coaxing in deep stretch. CAROLINA LEGACY bobbled a bit leaving the gate to lose a step, stalked the leaders from the fence, hugged the rail to the stretch, could not make any headway on the winner in the furlong grounds but was clearly second best. FIRE MOUNTAIN gave chase from outside, took aim three deep around the bend, weakened in the lane but was able to outlast DRIFTINGANDREAMING for third. DRIFTINGANDREAMING got bumped on both sides at the dispatch, pressed the pace from outside, between rivals early on the turn, could not keep up with the winner with a quarter mile remaining, flattened in the lane and lost third. HERE'S SOME MORE took a bump from inside leaving the gate, stalked the top pair outside a rival, came under a ride two then three wide on the turn, spun four wide into the lane and faded. MAXIMUM GLADIATOR bobbled at the start, gave chase from off the rail, dropped back three then four wide on the turn and could not rally.
