JET BLACK JEWEL (IRE) tracked in the two path, crept closer in the middle stages, remained two wide through the far turn, tipped out at the top of the lane to launch a bid, fought three deep in the late stages, put a head in front late and held over CUBAN FLAME (FR) in the closing moments. CUBAN FLAME (FR) came away slow from inside, settled off the pace outside a rival then in the two path, saved ground around the far turn, angled widest at the top of the stretch, rallied four deep and finished a game second. CAVES showed early foot outside RONILLA then took a stalking position in the two path, remained closest in pursuit to the far turn, put pressure on RONILLA past the five-sixteenths pole, fought on even terms into the final furlong, put a head in front shortly after, fought between late and got outkicked by the top pair. RONILLA took a short lead inside CAVES the cleared, controlled the pace through the opening rounds, challenged by CAVES midway around the far turn, resisted into the final furlong and yielded grudgingly to the top trio. SILKIE SEVEI (IRE) saved ground stalking along the rail, lacked room behind RONILLA and had to check in upper stretch, then flattened in the late stages. SOUTHERN RIFF was off slow to begin, trailed in the two path, moved inside past the five-sixteenths pole and was never a factor. PRINCESS BREANNA reserved in the early going on the inside, raced with SOUTHERN RIFF at the back in the middle stages, trailed around the far turn and moved to the two path and proved no menace in the stretch.
