Footnotes
BRAZORIA (GB) was closest in pursuit along the fence early, followed in the two path around the far turn, chased determinedly into the final furlong, drew alongside SHANE'S THE BRAINS with a sixteenth remaining, wore that rival down and took over in the final fifty yards to earn the victory. SHANE'S THE BRAINS controlled the pace next to the rail, remained clear into the final furlong, confronted by BRAZORIA (GB) at the sixteenth pole and yielded grudgingly late. PEACHY CANYON (IRE) sat off the pace three deep, checked behind a rival approaching the five-eighths pole, angled to the inside, eased over to the two path midway around the far turn, moved out in the stretch and produced a mild rally to earn the show honors. I'LL BE YOUR BABY bumped with inner rival prior to the first turn, tracked three deep around the bend, chased three then two wide on the far turn and finished evenly through the lane. BOURBON STORY stalked in the two path, asked three wide on the far turn and flattened out in the furlong grounds. CHAIR'S COIN (IRE) got crowded, bumped and checked prior to the first turn, settled between foes in the two path, tugged the rider forward in the middle stages, chased two wide then along the rail at the quarter pole and weakened in the lane. ISLAND HOME settled inside, moved into range in the middle stages, started to weaken on the far turn and faded in the drive. LACEY LOVE bobbled shortly after the start, trailed along the inside, dropped further back on the far turn, raced a bit off the rail into the lane and was never a factor.
