Footnotes
HAYWOOD vied for the lead inside rivals holding a slim advantage, inched ahead into the turn, cleared TEQUILA TALKIN at the three-eighths pole, asked right handed into the lane, drew away in upper stretch and widened under hand urging in the furlong grounds. RIVERWALK hustled between rivals then was outquicked early and moved inside to give chase, saved ground through the turn, drifted off the rail under left handed urging and bested the rest. CODY BOY pressed three deep up the backstretch, lost ground and chased three then four wide on the turn, got floated out by SOUTHERN SLANG at the sixteenth pole and edged that rival for the show honors. SOUTHERN SLANG bobbled leaving the gate, up close early four deep, chased after HAYWOOD four then three deep on the turn, could not summon the needed rally in the furlong grounds while drifting out and lost third in the closing moments. SIMPLEXITY (IRE) chased well off the rail early, took the turn four then five wide and lacked a rally. TEQUILA TALKIN vied between rivals to the turn, chased two wide then between rivals on the bend and weakened in the stretch run.
