MINISTER SHANE laid off the pace in the early stages, traveled two wide around the bend, tipped out in the lane and reeled in the leader at the sixteenth pole, took over shortly after and held safely over the runner-up. THE OLD NINE (IRE) traveled two wide near the back into the turn, angled widest in the stretch, finished well to gain second but could not get by the winner. BELLY UP broke well, chased outside a rival to the turn, remained in the two path to the lane, drew closer into the final sixteenth but lacked the needed late punch. PLAYER B sprinted clear and moved inside, remained unchallenged to midstretch, got run down by MINISTER SHANE at the sixteenth pole and yielded to the top trio. OUR BUCKY CHARM stalked from inside up the backstretch and around the turn, tipped out at the top of the lane, steered back inside midstretch and lacked the needed rally. BARSABAS traveled inside a rival at the back of the pack into the turn, had one rivals beat turning for home and failed to menace. CUPID'S CRUSADER broke a step slow, ran up on heels and had to check then was a bit rank briefly after in the early going, raced outside a rival at the rear into the turn, trailed into the lane and was never a factor.
