JUST DEAL broke a step slow, moved up quickly outside rivals, chased three wide around the bend, challenged three deep in upper stretch, drifted in and bumped CARDINAL SPIRIT midstretch, continued to drifted in while battling with CARDINAL SPIRIT late and dug in to edge that rival on the line. CARDINAL SPIRIT broke out and bumped PROBLEM SOLVER, coaxed along chasing from off the rail then three deep, ridden along in the two path, bid between rivals in upper stretch, took over past the eighth pole and got bumped by JUST DEAL shortly after, battled head to head through the last sixteenth and got edged at the wire. PROBLEM SOLVER broke a step slow then took a bump from inside, sat off the pace, moved inside for the turn then tipped to the two path around the bend, moved out in the lane and summoned a mild rally to gain third. SIR NANO chased along the inside into the turn, lost ground around the bend, asked left handed approaching the stretch, moved out in the lane and kept on for a minor award. BOB'S KID sped clear and set the pace up the backstretch, showed the way along the rail to the stretch, confronted by a pair of rivals outside the eighth pole, yielded midstretch and flattened to fifth. LOOKIN FOR CURLY fractious in the gate, rubbed the gate and came away slow, trailed on the inside, passed a rival at the top of the lane and showed late run in the furlong grounds. GLORIOUS OSCAR chased outside a rival then two wide into the turn, dropped back around the bend, spun three wide into the lane and tired. THERE WAS STEWARDS' INQUIRY REGARDING THE STRETCH RUN AND RULED THAT JUST DEAL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM FIRST TO SECOND FOR DRIFTING IN AND BUMPING CARDINAL SPIRIT MIDSTRETCH, COSTING THAT RIVAL A CHANCE AT A BETTER PLACING.
