TINA TURNER raced up close in the early going, drew alongside SEI BELLA at the quarter pole, drifted out crossing the dirt, seized control approaching the eighth pole, drove clear from inner rival and held safely over the next pair of rivals. MAYACAMA stalked from inside, chased two wide into the lane, finished willingly down the stretch, could not summon the needed late kick to get to the winner but was able to hold second. GARDEN PARTY bumped leaving the gate, followed in range two then three wide, steered out over the dirt, chased in tandem with MAYACAMA in the final furlong and was outdueled for the place honors. NANCI GRIFFITH bumped with GARDEN PARTY at the start, settled out of range early, rounded the bend three then four wide, angled out over the dirt and failed to rally. BLUE WILDCAT bumped inner rival in the beginning, tracked the pacesetter from the rail into the turn, eased out and came three wide into the lane, chased within striking distance at the furlong marker but flattened out in deep stretch. SEI BELLA broke out a bit then stepped to the front and showed the way along the inside into the turn, took pressure from TINA TURNER at the quarter pole, resisted to upper stretch, lost command outside the eighth pole and weakened in deep stretch. BACK ON TRACK got bumped and crowded leaving the gate, trailed in the opening stages, saved ground around the bend, chased just out of range into the final furlong but flattened out in the late stages.
