Footnotes
TARANTINO dueled inside FOR ALL MANKIND to the far turn, vied inside a pair of rivals midway around the bend, lost command past the quarter pole, fought back from inside into the final furlong, regained command midstretch, got brushed by IMAGINATION at the sixteenth pole and dug in to prevail. IMAGINATION raced up close outside the top pair, fought on even terms at the five-sixteenths pole, took over leaving the bend, carried a short lead over TARANTINO into the final furlong, relinquished the lead back to that rival in midstretch, drifted in and brushed at the sixteenth pole, battled to the wire but was outgamed by the winner. ULTRA POWER bumped leaving the gate, stalked from inside, went two wide into the far turn, moved over to the rail then tipped three wide at the quarter pole, moved out further in the lane, came with a late bid in deep stretch but ran out of time. FOR ALL MANKIND dueled for the lead outside TARANTINO, fought between rivals at the five-sixteenths pole, yielded in upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. ARROWTHEGREAT bumped inner rival leaving the gate, stalked in the two path, moved out to the four path entering the far turn, steered back inside to save ground and weakened down the lane. AMERICAN ADMIRAL trailed two then three wide on the clubhouse turn, drew closer outside rivals in the middle stages, dropped back four then three wide on the far turn and faded out of contention.
