ATITLAN rated along the inside behind the leader, continued to follow CURLIN'S KAOS through the far turn while saving ground, tipped out into the stretch, surged to the front approaching the eighth pole and kicked clear in deep stretch. STAY HOT crowded slightly shortly after the start, moved inside trailing early, coaxed along on the backstretch, roused past the three-eighths pole, angled five wide leaving the bend, rallied widest in the lane and gained second. CATHAL (IRE) tracked in the two path then found the rail around the first turn, raced between rivals leaving the backstretch, chased three wide leaving the far turn, tipped out in the lane and got outclosed for second. CURLIN'S KAOS took control early and set the pace on the inside, took pressure from WYNSTOCK early, cleared briefly on the backstretch then carried a short lead over a pair of rivals past the half-mile pole, headed by WYNSTOCK at the five-sixteenths pole, inched ahead from that rival a quarter mile out, could not fend off the bid from ATITLAN in upper stretch and relinquished the lead, stayed close into deep stretch and weakened late. TWIRLING POINT settled in the two path, moved into range three deep late on the backstretch, chased in the four path turning for home, raced between rivals into the final furlong, got put in a bit tight briefly late and lacked a bid. ROTHSCHILD rated up close in the three path, fought three deep on the far turn, lost touch with the leaders in upper stretch and weakened. WYNSTOCK raced up close outside the pacesetter in the opening stages, lost touch for a bit early on the backstretch, applied pressure again between rivals at the half-mile pole, headed CURLIN'S KAOS momentarily at the five-sixteenths pole, failed to keep up leaving the far turn, got crowded a bit at the top of the stretch and weakened down the lane.
