Footnotes
PASS THE BATON pressed from outside to the far turn, dueled and took over on the far turn, disposed of BAZOOKA CHARLIE approaching the stretch and maintained a comfortable lead under left then right-handed urging through the lane. THE GYPSY COWBOY rated along the inside, ridden along into the far turn, hugged the rail to the stretch and bested the rest. KERRY GOLD rated two then three wide early, dropped off the pace and trailed in the middle stages, went two wide into the far turn, found the rail while passing rivals, angled out in the lane and gained third. BRUNCHANDCRUNCH broke a step slow, tracked four to five deep on the clubhouse turn, raced outside a rival at the back on the backstretch, rounded the far turn three then four wide and improved position. SPEED GRAZY had to take hold running up behind a rival early on the first turn, checked again off heels around the bend, tracked between runners in the middle stages, chased two then three wide on the far turn and weakened. BAZOOKA CHARLIE led from inside under pressure, headed on the far turn, lost command at the quarter pole, failed to kick on with the new leader into the lane and weakened. CONTRARY CHIEFTAIN pulled while three to four wide on the first turn, followed the top pair three deep up the backstretch, weakened three then two wide around the second bend and had little left for the stretch run.
