Footnotes
ELWOOD BLUES bumped leaving the gate, chased from inside into the turn, tipped two wide midway around the bend, came three wide into the stretch, rallied outside the top pair with a sixteenth remaining and passed MIDLAND MONEY in the final strides. MIDLAND MONEY stalked three deep to the turn, bid between rivals around the bend, dueled inside BARTHOLDY in the stretch, carried a short lead into the final sixteenth and got nailed by ELWOOD BLUES in the closing moments. BARTHOLDY raced up close four deep, challenged three deep around the bend, dueled with MIDLAND MONEY in the stretch and got outfinished by the top pair late. KINGDOM HEART tracked off the rail up the backstretch, asked two, three, then four wide around the bend, churned on down the lane and earned a minor award. SCHWARZMEIER broke in and bumped, went up to take control from inside, fought with outer pair and relinquished the lead around the bend, then weakened in the drive. MANITOWISH brushed at the start, dropped back when lacking speed, saved ground to the stretch and passed tired rivals. MBAGNICK (CHI) hustled along early, was forwardly placed just ot the outside of the pacesetter, chased two wide then quickly found the rail on the turn and weakened in the lane. FOR ALL MANKIND bobbled sharply at the start, followed in range outside rivals, took the turn three to four wide, eased in the furlong grounds and walked off with a cut on his left-front hoof.
