Footnotes
CAROL'S COMIC settled inside off the pace, gained from the fence under a ride on the turn, challenged the top trio with a furlong remaining, seized control at the sixteenth pole and drove clear. HALO UNCLE stalked off the rail then moved inside for the turn, eased out to the three path around the bend, challenged from outside in upper stretch, put a head in front at the eighth pole but got outfinished by CAROL'S COMIC in deep stretch. HOWBEIT sat off the apce off the rail, chased between in the two path early on the turn, exited the bend three to four wide and lacked a rally. STREET TALKER sprinted clear early, took pressure from outer rival at the quarter pole, lost command at the top of the lane, yielded at the eighth pole and weakened. BLUE CHEESE OLIVE was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, bid two wide with a quarter mile remaining, gained the lead at the top of the stretch, lost command at the eighth pole and flattened to third. BIG DON'S SMILING tracked between rivals from out of range, got crowded a bit at the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back to last after on the turn and tired. MORELLO chased from off the pace staying well off the rail, went four wide into the turn, moved into the three path at the quarter pole, came four wide into the lane and kept trying to round out the superfecta. MY BUCKET LIST lacked early quickness, raced five deep up the backstretch, remained wide to the stretch and improved position. THE KEY IS UNITY unhurried from the far outside, angled in for the turn, saved ground to the stretch and was never a factor.
